Description

Located in the heart of a dynamic area in Adjamé, on Boulevard Nangui Abrogoua, from which the project takes its name, this new modern shopping center comprises three main blocks (A, B, and C), organized around a functional layout and facing the exit of one of the major stations of Abidjan’s new metro system, thus welcoming thousands of daily users. It is designed as a true living and meeting space, rising over several levels and elegantly adapting to the varying elevations of the site.

On the ground floor, the shops open widely onto the main thoroughfares, offering direct and seamless access to the major arteries and leading to a vast central patio, a key structural element of the project.

The upper floor is laid out according to a clear grid, offering a flexible organization adapted to the needs of the different businesses. It benefits from abundant natural light thanks to the large windows facing outwards and towards the central patio. This configuration creates a pleasant and bright flow connecting the shops, inviting visitors to explore the spaces while enjoying unobstructed views of the entire site.

This typical floor extends over five levels to form the core of the shopping center.

The vertical circulation system has been designed to combine fluidity and comfort. Two main staircases connect the different levels, complemented by a monumental staircase in the heart of the patio that enhances the visitor experience. Three elevators also provide vertical mobility for both the public and staff. The center is also equipped with two freight elevators to ensure the flow of goods between the different levels.

The facades play a crucial role in the concept and the life of the project: they have been designed as continuous bands, offering a visually striking, elongated aesthetic.

Semi-transparent, they create a connection between the interior and exterior, bringing in natural light and a feeling of openness. This concept invites visitors to explore, making the experience enjoyable and encouraging the public to frequent the shopping center and take full advantage of its features.

Finally, the project’s perimeter will be planted with trees, providing coolness, shade, and comfort, while creating a harmonious connection between the shopping center and its surroundings.
